Nashville, Tenn.—Calm Waters AI, an autonomous Evaluation & Management (E/M) coding solution for providers, announced that its accuracy-enhancing technology has been implemented by Arkansas Urology, a large regional specialty provider, and is now fully operational.

“In this age of reaching for ways to improve the bottom line in our clinics, we have found Calm Waters AI to be a creative partner said Denise Belford, Director of Business Operations and Compliance Officer for Arkansas Urology. “In all cases with AI programs, there is a learning process. Calm Waters AI has worked diligently to assist in ‘teaching’ the program how we document and how our work flows with our patients at Arkansas Urology.

“This program has become a strategic partner as we continue to tailor the application to our needs and better utilize our human coding resources to concentrate on more complex, unstructured coding procedures and visits,  while CWAI speeds up our revenue cycle by increasing overall coding KPIs by an initial 30% with projections of 50%.“

The Calm Waters AI software solution brings speed, order, compliance, and standardization to the process of E/M coding for physician practices and other provider organizations. Calm Waters AI reads charts consistently and accurately and levels them in seconds, enabling physicians quickly to review the results. As a result, practice groups optimize chart accuracy and reduce audit risk while gaining up to an hour per provider each day that would otherwise have been spent on documentation.

According to reports from Mazars US, a nationally respected audit and advisory firm, Calm Waters AI consistently achieves 97% chart accuracy.

The physicians and professional staff of Arkansas Urology comprise one of the most experienced and respected urological practices in the region. Through its seven Centers of Excellence in urological specialties, the group treats approximately 130,000 patients a year at 14 facilities in Little Rock, North Little Rock, Benton, Bentonville, Conway, El Dorado, Fayetteville, Jonesboro, Pine Bluff, Russellville, and Stuttgart. Arkansas Urology is made up of 19 physicians, more than 21 physician extenders, and more than 350 clinical and business staff employees.

“We are thrilled by the opportunity to partner with a leader like Arkansas Urology in optimizing their E/M coding accuracy and adding value to their organization,” said Joe Ferro, President of Calm Waters AI.
